Embodied Relationship Mentoring
Embodied Relationship Mentoring (ERM), developed by Marcia and Brian Gleason, MSWs, is a body-based approach that helps couples move beyond repetitive conflict and into deeper contact with themselves and each other.
Most couples don't need better communication.
They need a different way of meeting each other.
The arguments that repeat are rarely about the issue itself. They arise from protective patterns that keep us from revealing ourselves fully and truly receiving the person in front of us. Over time, these patterns create distance, even when love is still present.
ERM invites couples to slow down, become curious, and notice what is happening beneath the conflict. Through conversation and embodied practices, you'll learn to recognize your patterns, express yourself more honestly, and stay present with your partner without abandoning yourself.
Communication exchanges information. Contact creates relationship.
Conflict is not the problem. When met with awareness and responsibility, it becomes a doorway to deeper intimacy, trust, and aliveness.
This has been the only therapy that has transformed me, healed me so deeply that I am, in total truthfulness, a Changed Man. I am at last in touch with my emotions moment to moment, therefore able to process flare ups with my partner real time, and return to our love connection in a short time, same day.
